Severson Ag is proudly led by Marc, a dedicated farmer and veteran who combines a passion for agriculture with a strong business acumen. Marc earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Agriculture from Northern Illinois University, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to be the third-generation to run the farm with precision and care. His commitment to excellence in farming is matched by his drive to innovate and grow our operations. With a deep respect for the land and a focus on sustainability, Marc is leading our farm into the future while honoring the legacy of those who came before.

Marc is supported by his wife, Stephanie, who oversees the farm’s bookkeeping, finances, and administrative functions. Stephanie holds a Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University and skillfully balances her professional responsibilities with her role as a stay-at-home mom to their three children.

The farm’s legacy spans generations, beginning with Virginia’s father, Bill, who originally owned and operated the land. Virginia’s husband Tom worked alongside Bill for years and in 1988, took over the business while Virginia managed the financial records and bookkeeping. In 2009, Tom and Virginia transitioned the leadership to Marc, who had been learning the intricacies of agriculture under their guidance from a young age. Tom and Virginia instilled in Marc the values of confidence, dedication, and hard work, and they remain actively involved, providing ongoing support and assistance across various aspects of the farm.
